There are many ways now days to get your video distributed to the public which are the following:
If you believe your film that you have made is up to world wide standards and will attract a large amount of publicity then you could go to some major indent companies, which are the big six consisting of Walt Disney, WarnerBros, Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox and Colombia Pictures.
However if you are unable to get involved with these 6 majors you could try with other companies which are refereed to as mini majors, which are probably just as good but just not as well known as the majors but however they are growing in population very quick for example Dream works have supported in the making of the family film, Shrek which was a very successful well known film. These are some successful examples of mini majors:
All of the following indents above are mainly for films that get into cinemas, however if you unable to get either a mini major or a major then there are television channels which will allow you to promote and show your video on their channel no matter how popular the actors or producers are as long as if they think people are going to watch it they will allow it on their channel. some examples of channels that allow unknown films on air are the following: Film4 BBC and ITV
