Evaluation Question 7
Evaluation question 7
Looking back at your premlimary task, what do you feel you have learned in the progression from it to the product ?
Prelimary task exercise
Firstly I will talk about my preliminary task exercise. when filming the preliminary task it was all filmed inside which then gave us the advantage of not having to deal with horrid weather conditions which could change the outcome of the task dramatically. Also all the sound in our preliminary task is all diegetic. Although the sound is basic, it was quite clear mainly being the reason was that we was inside which didn't allow any wind or other sound such as cars or other random people.
Next Props were specified in our preliminary task because me and my group did not think they were very necessary and important to the task, however we did use one prop which was the phone when it rings and then he answers it and has a conversation and that is just a sign where the audience gets the idea that the task is about finish.
While editing the task we had learned and performed many techniques that we used within our task such as the following:
Match on action, where you see tommy open the door on one side and then on the inside of the room you see him enter the room and close the door.
Panning shot and eye-line match, Although we did make a mistake on this technique where we didn't get a eye-line match on Connors face but we placed the camera where Connors eyes would be and then we starting panning the camera following tommy when he sits down.
Final product
In our final project we did many similar techniques to the preliminary tasks such as the panning, eye line match and more but when we was panning for our final project it was a little shaky and we thought about re filming it but we decided to keep it because it suited our particular film and and settled the mood.
While filming a final project we noticed a dramatic change with the sound mainly due to the fact we varied filming outside and inside. Next the sound within both of our project we didn't really used the microphone apart from in our final project when we recorded sound for the scene when Connor is taking deep breathes while aiming down the scope out of the window.
Unlike the preliminary task props were a vital key for our final product without our props the film would never of been as exciting and thrilling. The props that were used in our final product were the following:
Sniper rifle (air rifle)
Car
a piece of string to strangle (shoe lace)
Gloves
The chip (Macguffin)
finally in our final product we used many more editing techniques than we did in our preliminary task, the techniques consisted of numerous Match on actions where i jump over a gate from one side and then you see me land on the other side, also we had the eye-line match were Connor was aiming the scope out of the window looking out of the window, and one more that we did was over the shoulder when Connor was in the car.

What have you learned about technologies from the process of constructing this product ?
Evaluation Question 5
Evaluation question 5
How did you attract/ address your audience ?
To attract our audience we got people to fill out a tally chart to let us see what people want to see in our film.
To attract our audience we had done a number of things such as advertise on twitter, Facebook, myspce and many more social websites
Also because me and my group used an actual gun, everyone was interested even before the project was fully made as they may wanted to see what it looks like, how it used etc.
Next I asked some friends and family to say what they think about the project trailer what they like and don't like about it and this is what they have to say and also what they want to see.
Connor- "As soon as I saw that gun, I was buzzed out my nut"
Tom- "I loved the running part, it just makes you want to see the rest of the film, looooooooool"
Funda- "I loved it but there needs to be a girl involved in the second one hahahaha"

Evaluation question 4
Who would be the audience for your media product ?
I believe our end product of our film is rather good and could attract a large amount and types of audiences but because of previous research and results I tried to aimed our film towards the ages of 11- 20 year old as nearly 70 % of the people that did my survey where in that age boundary as you can see bellow.
Also because I want to see which gender would be more interested in my film and surprisingly boys just edged it with 1 which was 3 to 2 votes as you see below, so i thought i need to aim it at both genders.
Next because me and my group noticed that the 5 people out of 6 preferred a cliff hanger to a closed ending, that's why me and my group made our film to cliff hanger which i believe people like the suspense and want to watch more always wondering whats going to happen now.
This is how me and my group had created the cliff hanger and suspense to the movie right at the end where our killer walks off into the distance after killing three men when a small Innocent child has just witness it.

There are many ways now days to get your video distributed to the public which are the following:
If you believe your film that you have made is up to world wide standards and will attract a large amount of publicity then you could go to some major indent companies, which are the big six consisting of Walt Disney, WarnerBros, Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox and Colombia Pictures.
However if you are unable to get involved with these 6 majors you could try with other companies which are refereed to as mini majors, which are probably just as good but just not as well known as the majors but however they are growing in population very quick for example Dream works have supported in the making of the family film, Shrek which was a very successful well known film. These are some successful examples of mini majors:
All of the following indents above are mainly for films that get into cinemas, however if you unable to get either a mini major or a major then there are television channels which will allow you to promote and show your video on their channel no matter how popular the actors or producers are as long as if they think people are going to watch it they will allow it on their channel. some examples of channels that allow unknown films on air are the following: Film4 BBC and ITV
